Offices for the Holy Monastery of Xenophon, Mount Athos
The Holy Monastery of Xenophon on Mount Athos assigned the construction of its offices to A&G Powering Construction. The works began in July 2022 and are estimated to be completed in June 2023.
The Offices of the Holy Monastery of Xenophon represent the challenge of simultaneous work on two different sub-projects. A&G Powering Construction has undertaken the electrical installation of a new, four-floor office building, located in Fragoklissias Street in Maroussi, the construction of a 26 Kwp Photovoltaic plant on the roof and the lighting installations of the building. The architectural design is signed by D. Billis & Associates.
Piraeus Tower
Piraeus Tower is located at Akti Poseidonos 2 and with its height of 88 meters, is considered the tallest building in the port of Piraeus and the second tallest in Greece. The construction began during the 70s, while the skeleton of the building was completed in 1974. Then, while some shops and offices opened, the project was later abandoned.
The Tower remained unfinished and empty until 2020, when a consortium of Dimand, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Prodea Investments, assigned the contract to GEK TERNA and the electrical installations to A&G Powering Construction. The total built-up area is estimated at 34,623.74 sq.m., i.e., 22 floors. In addition, the investment plan suggests a mixed-use development, consisting of both offices and retail. Regarding the offices, the investors’ goal is to create the most luxurious and state-of-the-art offices in the country.
The development plans for a bioclimatic building, which aims to be certified for its sustainability. Renewable energy sources, Photovoltaic systems to be more specific, are a vital part of the Tower's operation, thus, the second tallest building in Greece is set to be certified with the Platinum level of the recognized international LEED green building standard.
The Piraeus Tower is to be delivered in September 2023.
